Graham Wedding at Tybee Island

Here are a few cakes from this weekend... Thank you SO MUCH to Paul Kennedy catering for having a cart to get this cake up to the third floor. That hallway wasn't even big enough for one person, geesh!

Well, we successfully got the cake there thank God. Had to do a few touch ups, but I think it looked great when it was finally set-up and ready to be devoured.

The Cake Project of the Year I think-THE MILLENIUM FALCON for Marie Adams..

Here's the front...

Here is the detail on the back.....

For some reason I didn't take very good pics of the sides (which took me an entire DAY to do alone)

Marie was a joy to work with. She went to a great deal of trouble to have this cake made and actually requested a release from Lucas Films (with success-THANK YOU LUCAS FILMS) in order for me to be able to make it (you can't just make licensed replicas... yeah, it sucks, but she was able to get the release after all). Here's the cake that took us approximately 4 days from start to finish.

I was happy with the result!!! It was dark chocolate fudge cake with white chocolate buttercream filling. The BEST combo I might add... I will be looking forward to hearing about how the cake was received by the bride and groom! ;-)

Wedding Season is ON!

Here is a wedding cake we made this weekend. I was thrilled how it turned out!

Margrave Wedding at The Jepson Center for the Arts

This is such a lovely place to have a wedding. The set-up is very modern and clean since it's a museum. Check it out if you're planning a wedding. Pretty cool place!

And here's the cake.....

Parks Wedding at The Savannah Golf Club

Here is a cake we made for Suzanne Parks. The reception was at The Savannah Golf Club. One of the flavors was my personal favorite..... Dark Chocolate Fudge with White Chocolate Mousse! YUMM! So delicious....

The Barber Wedding

Catherine was a pleasure to work with. She was really scared of fondant, but I assured her that I fondant I use is different from what most cake designers use and actually doesn't taste that bad (it actually tastes like white chocolate since it's made with wc). I don't think she quite believed me ;-), but I got some feedback from her telling me how the fondant actually tasted pretty good on the groom's cake afterall... Here are a few pics of the wedding and groom's cakes. The reception was at The First City Club on Bull Street here in downtown Savannah.

I'm glad you enjoyed the cakes... More to come next weekend! Bye

Here is one of our buttercream beauties from today....... The girls at A to Zinnias did a fab job on the flowers.
I hope they liked every bite ;-)
More to come......
